How is your information handled?

This site only asks for personal details when you choose to send them through the newsletter, contact forms, or the CogniPal website chat. The point is to deliver what you asked for, not to build a creepy side hustle out of your inbox.

  • I collect the details you submit voluntarily, mainly name and email, plus the messages you choose to send through website chat.
  • I use them to send the newsletter, respond to enquiries, or run the basic site services you chose to use.
  • I do not sell your data or hand it around for marketing sport.

Policy sections

1. Who I Am

This site is operated by me, Jonathan Harris — an independent author exploring artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.

2. What Information I Collect

Data is only collected when you choose to submit it — for example, newsletter sign‑ups, contact forms, or the CogniPal website chat. Chat stores the message text, a pseudonymous browser/session identifier, the page where the conversation started, and any name or email you choose to provide.

3. How Your Data Is Used

Your data is used to deliver what you asked for. Website-chat messages are routed into the AIMS Communications Hub so the conversation can be answered, handed to a person when requested, audited, and retained under the same operational controls as other enquiries. I don’t sell, rent, or hand your data to third parties for marketing.

4. Cookies

This site uses essential cookies for core functionality, consent-managed Google Tag Manager/Google Analytics, and anonymous analytics via Metricool. You can manage cookies via the banner (where shown) or your browser settings.

5. Third‑Party Services

This website uses a small set of third‑party services to keep things running (for example: analytics, cookie consent, and embedded forms). The CogniPal chat interface itself is first-party: its browser code and gateway are served from this website and messages are passed server-to-server into AIMS Comms Hub. Each external provider used elsewhere on the site operates under its own privacy policy.

6. Data Retention

I keep personal data only as long as it’s needed to provide the service you requested (for example: ongoing newsletter delivery). You can unsubscribe at any time.

7. Your Rights

You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data. Email hello@jonathan-harris.online.

8. Updates to This Policy

If this policy changes, I’ll update this page and the “Last updated” date above.

For the terms that apply to using this website, please see the Terms of Use.
